The Black Thorn, designed by Ivan D. Braginets, masterfully combines the reliability of a traditional work knife with modern ergonomics and aesthetics. This full-tang fixed blade knife features a K110 steel blade with a flat grind, ensuring exceptional cutting performance and long-term durability. The rounded spine includes two jimping areas—midway and at the end—that enhance both control and comfort, especially during detailed work requiring thumb pressure.

The handle, crafted from either G10 or Micarta (with a titanium bolster), fully encases the tang to ensure comfort and insulation, particularly in cold conditions. Its diamond-shaped design, featuring a wider back tapering towards the belly, offers superior handling in precise tasks. The hook-shaped handle end provides a secure grip during chopping tasks and facilitates effortless sheath withdrawal. At the tail, a dual-use lanyard hole supports versatile attachments, complemented by a conical blade tang for smashing purposes.

The leather sheath, designed by Ivan's friend Anzor Akhobadze, blends artistry with functionality. With fixed and free suspension options, it adapts seamlessly to outdoor use. Drainage holes in the sheath keep the blade dry and ready for action.
